the manor The Manor - Built in 1924, this historic residence in Old Town Orange is in the style of French Country Revival. It's contenance and adornment of gargoyles, stained glass, oak, iron and such, lends itself perfectly to the fashion of our little gathering.

lianna pictureLianna - Mystress of The Manor - Founder of WMGS. Lianna has been gaming for as far back as she can remember (and that is a very long time!). As well as board gaming, she enjoys table top RPGs, CRPGs, LARPS of all types and just about anything that involves putting on a costume and roleplaying. Her interests outside the gaming world include, art (she is a professional artist), music, RenFairs, Pirate Festivals, costuming (she and Pam won first place at GenCon SoCal),writing, reading, volleyball, backpacking, hiking, kayaking and anything creative, imaginative or challenging. Pam and Lianna have been together for 30 years.

pam picturePam - Co-founder of WMGS and co-hostess of the manor. Pam has played table-top games most of her life, although it wasn't until she met Lianna (30 years ago) that she started with role-playing and Euro style games. In addition to playing games, she enjoys creating costumes for herself, Lianna and Chaucer to wear to LARPs and RenFaires. Outside the gaming world and her job at the Mouse House, she enjoys being outdoors (hiking, backpacking and kayaking) and reading (usually fantasy and mystery). She has a degree in Interior Design which is primarily used during the never-ending restoration of The Manor.
chaucer pictureChaucer - Official Manor Monster - Seen here in his RenFair dragon costume. Chaucer is a 2 year old English Cocker Spaniel who goes just about everywhere with Pam and Lianna. He especially likes to go to the Koroneburg Faire because they allow dogs and he can dress in costume! Chaucer also has a pirate costume complete with Parrot. He also enjoys game night at The Manor because the standing rule is that if anything that is eatable drops on the floor it is his.

rabbit shadow

Frank - Some people think that Frank is a figment of my imagination because the only evidence of his existance is an occasional email. He's kind of like Harvey, the invisible, 6' rabbit in the movie of the same name!

joeJoe was originally introduced to the world of role playing by Lawrence, his best friend of nearly 20 years, but did not officially start gaming until he met Eric who introduced him to Dungeons & Dragons in the summer of 2005. Since then, Joe has been broadening his horizons in the genre by getting involved in other role playing games like Eberron and online role playing simms like Voyager. He is a huge Star Trek fan and has recently discovered other sci-fi shows such as Battlestar Galactica, Heroes and Buffy: the Vampire Slayer. Joe is also involved in other activities such as drawing, singing karaoke, writing and dancing.

joelJoela - Joela started regularly gaming way back when during the heyday of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition. That list expanded to include such notable RPGs as Palladium, MERPG, Top Secret (1st edition), Marvel Superheroes (FASERIP edition), and favorite Runequest and its offspring (Call of Cthultu). Board, card, and video games were left on the wayside at the time due to lack of interest and bad graphics. College later interrupted all gaming, and Joela bought RPGs for fluff's sake for near two decades. It would not be until 2006 and a friend's Dungeons and Dragons 3.x campaign would games return to Joela's life. Now gaming not only includes RPGs, which Joela is currently in no less than five different campaigns, but WMGS' monthly tabletop group. World of Warcrack and its irk, though, continue to be on the distained shelf.

joyJoyJoy played her first AD&D game in 1983, and it stunk. Then she played Champions for a summer, with mixed results. Luckily, she kept trying, and is now totally hooked on role-playing games. For many years, she ran campaigns in a ridiculously detailed homebrew world named Eneanatalae, using heavily revised D20 3.x. rules. She’s sadly too busy to GM right now, but is having fun being “just” a player again for a change, and experimenting with other rule systems. She has always liked tabletop games and even -- gasp -- many party games. Anything that’s creative and gets people together talking and laughing is a good bet. Joy also enjoys cooking and trying new foods, dancing, a wide range of music, traveling, art, and just about anything related to science fiction or fantasy.
